Complete professionals at every stage, very easy and pleasant to work with. Our pre-civil war home needed lots of attention to the exterior and got it from Finishing Touch. Prep work was excellent. Many wood repairs were taken care of beautifully, old paint was sanded down to make sure it looked like new. The attention paid to detail was amazing. Daily cleanup more than met any expectations. Finishing Touch painted and added hardware to our dated kitchen cabinets, giving them new life. I have had several visitors ask if we got all new cabinets--yes, they look that good! Brock installed a stunning tile backsplash that is just perfect for the look we wanted. He made some modest cabinet modifications that make some spaces more useable than they had been before. The kitchen, living, dining and entry areas painted and they also installed engineered "barnwood" on one wall (can be partially seen on right side of pic). The quality of the work is amazing--living up to the company name. Some of the smallest touches can make a big difference. Brock listened closely to what we wanted and made recommendations that led to an even better outcome than we had originally envisioned. He took minor change requests in stride and accomplished the work in the timeframe projected. The crew is professional, courteous, and personable. Brock has helped out a lot of my real estate clients to either prep their homes for the market or complete inspection items. I recently hired him to repair and paint my plaster ceiling and was so impressed, it looks perfect! I can't even tell where the damage was at. We... read moreReview for Finishing Touch Painting and Handyman Services My wife and I moved from Southeast Wisconsin in July, 2019. We worked with Michelle Tjomsland from In-Motion Realty of Hastings, MN to find us a home in Red Wing, MN. Michelle found a 1998, 3-bedroom Rambler located in the city, on a bluff and on a dead-end street that was ideal for us. We were new to the area and asked Michelle for a name of a good reliable painter that is “actually good and reliable”. She recommended Finishing Touch Painting and Handyman Services, LLC which is owned by Brock Johnson. Brock came to look at the house and gave a us a written quote to remove popcorn ceilings through-out the house and garage, apply new knock down ceilings, replace/repair drywall as needed, and paint all the walls and ceilings in our 2,900 square foot house. The new knock-down ceilings, the drywall repairs, and painting look great. At that time, I told Brock that the scope of work may change as we get into this project and he was good with that. Boy, did the scope of work change for Brock and Gunner (who works with Brock) once we got started. We decided to replace all the doors, door trim, base boards, and many other things that needed to be stained or painted. Brock was OK with all the changes we made and was very helpful in making recommendations on the best way to do it, getting the finish, the look, and the durability we wanted. He recommended the best products to use and was able to match all of the doors he stained to match our cabinets to give us the look we also wanted. Brock’s Company’s name is Finishing Touch Painting and Handyman Services, LLC. Brock does paint and staining work and is very good at it. However, his Company is much more than that. “Handyman” does not describe what Brock’s talents are. He told me that he grew up working with the trades while working for his dad’s construction company when he was a kid and after he got out of high school. If you are looking for a company that does good work, are there when they say they will be there, cleans up after they are done for the day, and you want no surprises check this company out. Note: This spring Brock and Gunner will be painting the outside of our home and I will update this review when they are done.
